Let's groove!

ave you ever had a song that you have heard maybe just once, or twice, and liked, but do not know the title or the artiste who sang it?

And you never managed to find out what it is, because you only heard it that one time and don't recall the lyrics, or maybe you had an inkling but never got down to checking?

Well just two days ago, I finally got down to seeking out a song that I'd heard on the Nintendo DS music rhythm game Elite Beat Agents about three years ago. It was a friend's game so I didn't know what the title of the song is. I must have heard it elsewhere before. Whatever the case, I knew I like the song and would love to listen to it again. In the Internet age, there's no excuse for not at least trying.

It turned out be September, by the legendary R&B group Earth, Wind and Fire. And through YouTube, I listened to a few of their other hits, like the very groovy (can't think of a better adjective) Let's Groove and Boogie Wonderland, as well as the soothing ballad After the Love is Gone. I'm itching to buy their last compilation album just for these four songs!

For now, here's September. Enjoy! The weekend is here!

Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the mind of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away

Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember - how the stars stole the night away, yeah yeah yeah.

Hey hey hey,
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love,
Remember - how we knew love was here to stay

Now December found the love that we shared in September.
Only blue talk and love,
Remember - the true love we share today

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day.......there was a
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days

Now our bell was ringing, aha
Our souls were singing.
Do you remember every cloudy day - yau !

There was a
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day.......there was a
Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days
