Grad Trip - Photo of the Day 10

May 1, Labour Day. And we realised that a lot of buses AND some trains don't run on holidays, which caused us to reach our destination, the medieval city of Siena, rather late. Given that the train station was quite a distance from the city centre, it took us quite a walk -- an uphill one at that -- to finally get there.

The central Piazza in Siena is quite spectacular though:

This was taken from the city's watch tower, the second highest such building in the whole of Italy.

We didn't have a lot of time in Siena, unfortunately, due to the train schedule. It was unfortunate that we didn't manage to visit the Duomo there.

And on the way back, I found a new use for the Gorillapod:

As for the photo of the day, it's actually something I took during breakfast. I had french toast that morning.

Right, I know some of you may be thinking that this is becoming a food photography series instead of travel photography. Erm I'll try to come up with better stuff next time!
